Chelcey and I met through a friend and there was an instant attraction. 10 years later, 2 furbabies and an actual real-life human baby we have built an amazing life together.
I proposed in January 2020 and this was the month Meelup Farmhouse had just opened their doors. We knew it was the venue for us, the perfect fusion of coastal luxe and boho vibes, we booked it straight away... they hadn't even released a wedding package yet! We had a 2-year proposal as we wanted to focus on saving for our dream wedding, kicking some career goals and also having a baby.
Our wedding was on Saturday 12th March 2022.... 3 days before our 10-year anniversary and our daughters 6-month milestone. Everything was perfect and wouldn't have been possible without the amazing team of kickass women we had working with us. With a stroke of luck, the venue survived the south west fires and the WA borders opened up just in time for some of Chelcey's family to travel over from UK to attend the wedding. Everything fell into place and we wouldn't have changed a thing!
We both look forward to being 80 years old, still finishing each others sentences and dancing in the kitchen.
