- Why you fell in love with your gown
It was the second dress in the first shop I visited. I didn’t really know what I was looking for if I am honest other than something more on the ‘plain’ side. I loved the train and the fabric, plain with a little something extra and it had pockets which I just loved! I compared every dress I tried on after to that “one” and that’s how I knew! I was lucky enough to have my mom ,who was visiting from overseas, with me as well as my bridesmaids and that was the only one they all teared up over. Lydia was absolutely amazing and couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
- Your favourite memory from your wedding day
Spending the day with all (almost) our family and friends, many of whom had travelled from overseas to be there. It was also at my dads home so it felt extra personal and to see it all come together was something else.
- Any advice for future brides
Make it what you want it to be and don’t worry about anyone else. If you don’t go with a wedding planner (like me) then have a good system in place to track everything. I got myself a whiteboard in the last few months leading up to it so I could see what needed to be paid/confirmed/ordered/done etc. Oh and delegate where you can!
